The latest third generation (3G)mobile phones and applications will be unveiled to the public on the annual CommunicAsia trade show, which is scheduled to open in Singapore on Tuesday.

CommunicAsia, together with two other annual events of BroadcastAsia and Enterprise IT, will feature mobile applications,broadband, satellite communications, enterprise solutions, as well as digital broadcasting and high definition television.

More than 2,200 exhibitors are sharing six halls in Singapore Expo, which covers 62,000 square meters.

According to the organizers, many of the key industry players returned to this year's exhibition, while the number of Chinese companies participating in the show saw the highest growth.

At least 60,000 trade visitors are expected to show up in the four-day event with deals worth some 4.62 billion US dollars in their hands, according to the organizers.
