Serbia-Montenegro pledges to adhere to One-China policySerbia-Montenegro Parliament Speaker Zoran Sami pledged on June 13 to adhere to One-China policy and strengthen overall cooperation with China. During a meeting with a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) headed by Beijing party chief Liu Qi, Sami conveyed his country's support for One-China policy. Liu, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said that China has strongly advocated for the preserving of Serbia-Montenegro's sovereignty and territorial integrity, a full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244, as well as that all the inhabitants of Kosovo have equal rights. "We wish to strengthen cooperation with all political parties in Serbia-Montenegro," Liu said when meeting members of Group for Friendship with China of the Serbia-Montenegro parliament. He said that the CPC has been cooperating with over 400 political parties from all over the world. Liu said the goal of his visit was to deepen mutual understanding, strengthen traditional friendship and establishment new forms of cooperation in different fields between the two countries.
