Rescue underway in flood-hit Shalan town

PLA soldiers salvaged agricultural machines trapped in silt at the Shalan Township of Ning'an City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province June 14, 2005. By 3:30 p.m. June 14, 2005, the death toll of the flood climbed to 99. Another 10 students are still missing. The rescue work is still underway in the town.
