China's senior legislator meets Philippine parliamentary delegation

Han Qide, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, met Wednesday in Beijing with a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Philippine House of Representatives.

The delegation, led by Chairman Antonio Cuenco, arrived here Tuesday for a seven-day visit to China at the invitation of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee.

Besides Beijing, the delegation will also visit Kunming, a scenic city in southwestern Yunnan Province, and Shanghai, China's economic hub.
