font size

The continuous heavy rains in some parts of Taiwan caused landslides or floods on June 15, killing two more people, following the death of two people on Monday.

According to Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Co. Ltd, a nine- year-old boy drowned in a rice field with accumulated water in Chiayi County and the rescue workers only found the body of the child.

In a separate development, a man who drove a car, was swept away to river waters and was found dead later in Tainan County.

On Monday, a man and a woman were killed by heavy rain-caused landslides or floods in two places of Taiwan.

The vegetable and fruit producing counties of Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan and some other counties suffered great economic losses caused by the continuous heavy rains.
