Europe's largest computer maker Fujitsu Siemens said Wednesday it is recalling 250,000 laptop computers due to the battery problem.
The company said the potentially defective batteries in AMILD models sold since October 2004 could led to fire and must be replaced.
Fujitsu Siemens said four cases of the batteries overheating have been reported but no one was injured.
The company warned that while operating the affected laptop models, customer should avoid using the batteries.
