Hungarian PM hails ties with China
font size

Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany hailed Sino-Hungarian relations on Wednesday in Budapest and expressed the hope that the two countries would maintain the good momentum for development of bilateral political and economic ties.

Gyurcsany made the remarks during a meeting with Liu Qi, a member of the Political Bureau of Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC.

Mutual investment should be increased, Gyurcsany said. He also reiterated Hungary's adherence to the one-China policy.

Liu said bilateral exchanges in various fields have grown steadily over the past years and Hungary has become an important political and economic partner of China in central and eastern Europe.

Liu arrived here on Wednesday after a visit to Serbia and Montenegro.
