China Aviation takes part in Airbus R&D center

Airbus signed an agreement with China Aviation Industry Corporation I at the 46th Paris Air Show, embracing the latter as a new partner in its R&D center.

Airbus has already had cooperation agreement with China Aviation Industry Corporation II in April. The first group of engineers from China Aviation Industry Corporation II has begun training in France. The Airbus Beijing R&D center, which is to be officially running within the year, is planning to have a staff of 50 by the end of this year and 200 by the year 2008. It will primarily serve the Airbus A350 project at the beginning of its operation.
