The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) said Thursday that it will improve cross-border cooperation for securities regulation and information exchange with Nigeria.
The commission said it signed on June 14 a memorandum with its Nigerian counterpart regarding cooperation in regulating securities and future markets.
CSRC Chairman Shang Fulin signed a memo on cooperation concerning the supervision of securities and futures markets on June 14 with his Nigerian counterpart, according to a statement posted Thursday night on CSRC's official website.
According to the memo, the agreement is the 28th of its kind that China signed with 25 countries or regions in the past dozen years since 1992, when the CSRC was established.
The countries or regions include Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the United States, Singapore, Australia, Britain, Japan, France, Germany and Canada and New Zealand.
