Armed wings of the Islamic Jiahd and Palestinian mainstream Fatah movement, Saraya al-Quds and al-Aqsa Brigades, claimed responsibility on Saturday for attacking the Jewish settlement of Kfar Daroun in central Gaza Strip.
The two groups said in a joint leaflet that two militants, one from Fatah and the other is a Jihad member, attacked the settlement and clashed with the Israeli soldiers.
Abu Oayda, spokesman of the Saraya al-Quds, affirmed that the al-Aqsa Brigades militant returned back safe, but the Saraya al- Quds, lost contact with their militants, whom he has been apparently killed.
He added that al-Aqsa Brigades militants affirmed to the joint operation room of the two militant groups that he and his colleague stormed the settlement and opened fires directly at Israeli soldiers and settlers.
Abu Oayda reported that the militant said that he saw several settlers and soldiers falling down and were either killed or injured.
Palestinian witnesses and medics said that two militants attacked on Saturday the settlement and traded fire with Israeli soldiers guarding the settlement, adding that one was killed and the other managed to escape.
The attack is part of the Palestinian people response to the ongoing "Zionist" attacks carried out against them round the clock, mainly assassinations and arrests, said Abu Oayda.
