The headquarters of Khotang district in eastern Nepal was severely attacked by the anti- government guerrillas from Sunday night till Monday morning, causing some casualties and damage, police said.
"The anti-government guerrillas launched the attack on the headquarters, some 200 km east of Kathmandu, at 11:30 p.m. local time (1745GMT)," a local police officer said on condition of anonymity.
Dead bodies of seven security personnel including two armed policemen, two civil policemen and three armymen have been discovered from the spot, he noted, adding, "About 21 policemen are still missing."
