Kao Chin Su-mei returns to Taiwan, demand unfulfilled
font size

The delegation of Taiwan natives led by Kao Chin Su-mei returned to Taipei after they failed to have their ancestors' names removed from Yasukuni 's enshrinement list, according to report by China News Service.

Kao Chin said, Taiwanese fishermen, farmers and natives had suffered enough under Japan's bullying and oppressions. It is hoped that the Taiwan authorities can come up with courage and backbone to have the ancestral souls of Taiwan natives returned to the island, and at the same time strive for more rights and interests for Taiwan fishermen and farmers.

She said that what they wanted is just to bring back their ancestors' souls and they hope that Yasukuni shrine can respect the human rights of Taiwan's indigenous people.
