Liu Yunshan, head of the Department of Publicity of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met on Monday with a delegation led by Edward Nipake Natapei, chairman of the Vanuaaku Party of Vanuatu.

Liu is also a member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, while Natapei is former prime minister of Vanuatu.

Liu said the CPC values its relations with the Vanuaaku Party and highly appreciates the latter's adherence to the one China policy.

Natapei, who arrived here on Sunday for a week-long visit as guest of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, will also visit central China's Hubei Province and Guizhou Province in the southwest.
