Patterson, who once visited China in 1998, said Jamaica-China relations have witnessed fast development since his last visit with frequent high-level visits and enhanced economic and trade cooperation.

He said the China-Caribbean economic and trade cooperation forum has helped push Jamaica-China ties and the relations between Caribbean states and China into a new stage.
