Jamaican PM to continue visit in northwest China

Jamaican Prime Minister Percival Patterson left Beijing Tuesday for Xi'an, the capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, continuing his six-day official visit to China as guest of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

During his stay in the Chinese national capital, Patterson has met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress Wu Bangguo. Patterson also held talks with Premier Wen.

This is Prime Minister Patterson's second official visit to China as prime minister, which will also take him to Shanghai metropolis. His last visit dated back to 1998.
