font size

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao is to attend and deliver a speech to the opening ceremony of the forthcoming Sixth ASEM (Asia Europe Meeting) Finance Ministers' Meeting (FMM) to be held in north China's Tianjin on June 26.

The ASEM FMM is one of the key forums to implement instructions of the ASEM Summit. Inaugurated in Bangkok of Thailand in 1997, the ASEM FMM has been held every two years. In 2001, the third ASEM FMM made the decision that the FMM be held once a year and convened before the ASEM Summit. Up to now, five ASEM FMMs have been held in total.
