Cambodian former king Norodom Sihanouk returned home on Wednesday night with Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk and his son King Norodom Sihamoni.
Some members of royal family and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Hu Qianwen greeted them at the Phnom Penh International Airport.
"With Chinese doctors' best of care and treatment, I'm feeling better now and getting recovered," former King told reporters, adding that he is scheduled to leave here for Beijing to continue his treatment in August when his son will pay an official visit to Beijing.
The 82-year-old retired King Sihanouk made a routine medical treatment in Beijing. He left the country on January and planed to return home before Khmer New Year, but forced to remain in China due to his reemerged cancer.
He has finished his first-phase of chemotherapy treatment and Chinese doctors have allowed him to rest for two months before continuing treatment, the retired King said.
King Norodom Sihamoni left here last week for Beijing to celebrate his mother's birthday.
The 82-year-old Sihanouk gave up the throne to his son Sihamoni last October. The former King suffers from diabetes and has had colon cancer.
Sihanouk has been at the heart of Cambodian politics and played a crucial role in his country's reconciliation, peace and stability.
