The volume of Hong Kong's re- exports of goods rose 7.3 percent in April, while domestic exports fell 12.1 percent, the Census & Statistics Department said on Friday.
Taken together, the volume of total exports rose 6.2 percent, while the volume of imports rose 0.6 percent.
Comparing the first four months with the same period last year, the volume of re-exports rose 9.6 percent, while domestic exports fell 10.1 percent.
Taken together, the volume of total exports grew 8.4 percent while the volume of imports rose 3.4 percent in the first four months, said the department.
Taken together, the price of total exports of goods rose 2 percent. Concurrently, the prices of imports rose 3.6 percent.
