Mongolian vice chairman of parliament meets Chinese counterpart

The Vice Chairman of Mongolia's Great State Hural (parliament) Danzan Lundeejantsan hailed Sino- Mongolian ties on June 23 during his meeting with Uyunqimg, vice- chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.

During their talks, Danzan Lundeejantsan noted the more frequent exchanges of visits between leaders of the two countries during the recent times, while pointing out that Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Mongolia in 2003 played an important role in boosting bilateral relations.

Uyunqimg said the ties between China and Mongolia are becoming ever closer and bilateral cooperation is expanding. She expressed her hope that the cooperation and communication between the two countries' parliaments would contribute to the development of friendly bilateral ties.

Uyunqimg arrived in Mongolia Thursday as a special envoy of President Hu Jintao to attend the inauguration ceremony of Mongolian President-elect Nambaryn Enkhbayar on Friday. She is to conclude her visit on Saturday.
