font size

Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing is to meet with his Japanese counterpart Tanigaki Sadakazu on June 25 in the afternoon, according to the organizing committee of the Finance Ministers' Meeting of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM-FMM).

The two ministers are expected to exchange views on Sino-Japanese economic and financial cooperation as well as issues of mutual interest, said an official with the organizing committee.

Jin will also meet with finance ministers of Belgium, Netherlands and the Republic of Korea and other countries, as well as representative from some international organizations, who are here for the Sixth ASEM-FMM slated to open in this northern China port city on Sunday.

This is the first time that China chairs the meeting, a major forum for promoting economic and financial cooperation between Asia and Europe.

Besides delegations of the 39 ASEM members, representatives of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank and the European Central Bank will also attend the meeting.
