Fiji prime minister starts visit to China

Fiji Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase arrived in Beijing on June 25 at noon for a working visit to China, days before the two countries mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

During the visit, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and state advisor Jia Qinglin will meet with him.

Besides Beijing, Laisenia Qarase will visit Qingdao, a coastal city in the eastern province of Shandong and Tianjin municipality near Beijing.
