A commemorative book was released here Saturday to mark the golden jubilee of establishment of Nepal- China diplomatic relations and 30th anniversary of Nepali Service of China Radio International (CRI).

The commemorative book, titled "The Journey of Three Decades", published by National Council of CRI Listeners' Clubs Nepal, a non- governmental Nepal-China friendship organization, was released by Tanka Dhakal, minister for communication and information and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Sun Heping.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister Dhakal said that the relations developed between Nepal and China in the last 50 years, after the diplomatic relation established between the two countries, is the worthy model of state-to-state good-neighborly friendship and cooperation.

Ambassador Sun said that the Chinese government has set a policy to further consolidate and strengthen the good-neighborly partnership between Nepal and China.

CRI Nepali Service attaches great importance to building a friendly bridge between the two peoples, Sun said, adding that "It has been bringing more friends to the force working for China- Nepal friendship."

Zou Zhaojun, chief of CRI Nepali Service, said in a message that the commemorative book was released at the same time in Beijing as well, which will help to understand the journey of three decades of CRI Nepali service more closely.

CRI Nepali Service started to broadcast its Nepali language program on June 25, 1975.

The National Council of CRI Listeners' Clubs Nepal is an umbrella organization of more than 500 CRI listeners clubs in Nepal.
