font size

A US helicopter crashed in a rural area north of Baghdad on June 27, the US military said.

A US Apache attack helicopter crashed northwest of Taji, a US military spokesman said, without elaborating.

The Qatar-based al-Jazeera TV channel reported earlier that the helicopter crashed in Mishaheda area, some 30 km north of Baghdad.

It was unclear whether the helicopter was shot down by insurgents or it was an accident.
