African party delegation wraps up NE China tour

Visiting African party officials wrapped up their tour in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on June 26, and will fly to Shandong Province in east China on June 27 in the morning.

Heilongjiang is the second leg of their 16-day China visit.

During the four days in Heilongjiang, the delegates visited some state-owned enterprises such as the Harbin Aviation Group, the museum of oil exploration technology in the Daqing Oilfield, and the Zhalong national nature reserve in Qiqihar.

Mila Belle Telou from Togo said the Heilongjiang tour gives her a more comprehensive impression on China, who only knows Beijing and Shanghai in the past.

"The difference between China's big cities and remote areas is not as large as that in African countries, and the economy of Heilongjiang develops well," she said.

Francois Wakata Bolvine, who learned about China only from reports of Western media before, said this tour helped him discover a totally different China. The development of China's economy is "far beyond imagination".

Allele Elhadji Habibou, also head of the delegation, said the visit to China, an old friend of African countries, gives them much to learn in many aspects.

In Shandong, the delegates are scheduled to visit private firms, hi-tech companies and economic development zones with foreign investment.

Invited by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the delegation is composed of party officials from nine African countries, including Cameroon, Djibouti, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Niger, Rwanda, Seychelles and Togo. They attended a seminar held by the department on further strengthening Sino-African relations when they were in Beijing.

China and African nations, in recent years, have witnessed frequent exchanges of high-level visits and enhancement of cooperation on international affairs.
