US military declared on Monday that the two crew members died when their US Apache attack helicopter which crashed earlier in the day.

The military helicopter crashed northwest of Taji, north of Baghdad, the US military said, without elaborating.

It is not clear yet whether the helicopter was shot down by insurgents or it was an accident.
