Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa on Tuesday spoke highly of the support and help China has rendered in Zambian's economic construction.
Mwanawasa voiced the appreciation while meeting in Lusaka with a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Tan Jialin, assistant head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Zambia faces a lot of arduous tasks in its economic development, but they have turned to be easier due to China's assistance, said the president.
For his part, Tan said that China and Zambia have established a stable and friendly cooperation, noting that the CPC and Zambia's ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) share identical views on many international issues.
Tan said one of the major aims of his visit was to deepen mutual understanding between the CPC and the MMD and boost the China-Zambia ties.
In a separate meeting with the CPC delegation, Zambian vice Foreign Minister Davison Mulela pledged Zambia's adherence to the One-China policy and support for China's newly-adopted Anti- Secession Law.
The CPC delegation is on a four-nation African tour which has taken it to Uganda, Zimbabwe. Namibia will be its last stop.
