Chinese legislator meets Jordanian guest

China hopes to work with Jordan to push forward the friendly, cooperative relations between the two countries in the new century, Cheng Siwei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, said Wednesday.

Cheng made the remark at a meeting with visiting Prince Ali Bin Nayef of Jordan.

The prince said he would like to make contributions to promoting the friendship and cooperation with China.

Ali is here at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
