HK chief: new CS has insight, ability to serve HKHong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang said on Thursday that he was pleased to announce that the Central People's Government has accepted his nomination and Rafael Hui has been appointed as Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration. He made the remarks at a press conference Thursday afternoon. Tsang said "I have just administered his oath, and Hui will assume office with effect from today." Tsang said "I have worked with Hui for many years and I know him well. He has the insight, abilities and commitment to serve the country and Hong Kong people. He and I will work well together. " Tsang said Hui has served in many posts of the administration during his 30 years in the civil service. He is very familiar with government operations, and he knows many senior colleagues well. Tsang stressed that "I am confident that he will be able to help my work in leading Principal Officials and civil service colleagues, improving government efficiency, and making and implementing established policies."
