Fiji PM ends China tour

Fiji Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase left Beijing on June 30 at the end of his working visit to China as guest of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

He started his China visit on June 25. While in Beijing, Laisenia Qarase met with Chinese leaders Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao and Jia Qinglin and attended a reception marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Besides Beijing, Laisenia Qarase also visited Qingdao, a coastal city in the eastern province of Shandong and Tianjin Municipality near Beijing.
