Zhang Baoshun has been appointed secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Provincial Committee of north China's Shanxi Province, according to a decision released by the CPC Central Committee on Friday.

Zhang replaced Tian Chengping, who was Thursday appointed the Minister of Labor and Social Security by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.
