NPC, CPPCC leaders meet US delegation

Senior Chinese legislator Cheng Siwei and advisor Xu Kungdi met Friday with a US delegation of the National Conference of State Legislatures, respectively.

Cheng,vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislature, and Xu, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's top advisory body, discussed the Sino-US relations and other issues of common concern with the US delegation.

The delegation, headed by President John Hurson of the National Conference of State Legislatures, came here at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
