font size

Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, held a Thai festival on Friday to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Thai diplomatic relations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Pravich Rattanapian, Thailand trade representative and special envoy of the Prime Minister, listed Sichuan Province among Thailand's important partners in tourism, trade and agriculture.

He said he expects the 10-day-long festival to boost exchanges and cooperation between the two sides and bring more Sichuan visitors to Thailand.

July 1 saw the 30th anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic ties between China and Thailand. Governmental and non-governmental celebrations were planned in both countries, including major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
