Second GMS summit opens in Kunming

The Second Summit of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program opened on July 5 in the morning in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The summit features the theme of "a stronger GMS partnership for common prosperity."

The prime ministers of Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam are attending the summit to discuss topics like achievements and challenges, common guidelines to future GMS cooperation, and the path ahead towards sustainable development.
