The Communist Party of China (CPC) will strengthen friendly exchanges with all major political parties of Turkey, including the Justice and Development Party( JDP), senior CPC official Luo Gan said Wednesday in Beijing.

They will learn from each other and strengthen consultations and coordination in international affairs so as to promote the steady growth of Sino-Turkish relations, said Luo, member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, at a meeting with a JDP delegation.

Luo spoke highly of the smooth development of bilateral relations and the continuous growth of bilateral cooperation in various fields in recent years.

He praised party-to-party relations between the two sides and said this is the JDP's first high-level visit to China and it will be conducive to enhancing understanding and cooperation between the two sides.

Dengir Mir Mehmet Firat, JDP deputy chairman and head of the delegation, said the JDP enjoys close relations with the CPC and admires China's achievements under the CPC's leadership.

He said the friendship between the two peoples dates back to ancient times and the JDP will further strengthen the existing friendship with the CPC and promote continuous development of bilateral friendship and cooperation.

He reiterated that Turkey will, as always, follow the one-China policy and fully respects China's position on safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
