font size

Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju has said at a recent meeting in the northern city that China still faces great pressure to create more jobs, especially for laid-off workers from state businesses, college graduates and rural surplus labor.

At a meeting on employment in seven northern and eastern provinces, municipality and autonomous region, Huang said China has gained temporary achievement on promoting employment and reemployment, but the pressure remains high for a few years to come.

He said the government will continue to carry out positive employment policies and focus on helping laid-off workers from state-owned enterprises, newly-added labor force in urban areas including college graduates and rural labor surplus to find jobs.
