Taiwan people expect more farm produce into mainlandIt is a good thing to expand the sale of Taiwan's farm produce on markets of the Chinese mainland, and turn the good wish of the mainland into reality, said a Taiwan representative who attended the on-going "200 Forum" on July 6 in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province. Liao Siren, a representative from Tainan county, echoed the wishes of many other Taiwan people. He said that quality Taiwan produce, especially fruits, are favored by broad markets in Chinese mainland. If more sales of farm produce can be expanded in Chinese mainland, Taiwan farmers will get better profits, and people of mainland will have the chance of tasting better farm produce. It is obviously a win-win result for both people across the Straits. Liao also expressed his regrets over the obstacle attitude posed by Taiwan authority. He suggested that farm produce marketing enterprises across Taiwan Straits to strengthen communications and exchange, and together boost Taiwan farm produce sales in Chinese mainland. Zheng Fuhua, a representative from the Kaohsiung County, said she wished Taiwan authority will not reduce the interests of Taiwan farmers by interfering with political elements. She noted that Chinese mainland has raised a series of measures beneficial to Taiwan farmers including providing convenience for Taiwan farmers to establish their own businesses in mainland. She expressed her wish that all these beneficial offerings can be realized and let Taiwan farmers get more profits. Wu Junli, a representative from Taitung county, said that he wished there would be a breakthrough in expanding sale of Taiwan farm produce in Chinese mainland. Source: Xinhua |
