Commentary: When "accidental bombing" be put to an end?

Another 17 civilians lost their lives in US bombings in Afghanistan! More shockingly, among them were women and children who were killed just at a funeral for a woman bombed to death earlier.

The air strike by US army was an act of revenge. At the end of June, four soldiers of US Army Special Forces went missing in mountain areas of eastern Afghanistan, and the helicopter in search of them was attacked with all the 16 soldiers on board killed. As a result the noble occupier flew into a rage and ordered a strong wave of bombings in this region.

Funeral goers are themselves killed; this kind of double tragedy is indeed rarely seen. But the killing of the innocent by American "accidental bombings" has long ceased to be news. Nearly 300 civilians have been killed by bombs during wedding ceremonies in Afghanistan and Iraq, not to mention those who lost in repeated and heavy bombardment against residential areas. Now the target has been shifted from wedding to funeral.

The United States has always been proud for its precise striking capability. In the face of "accidental bombings" one following another, "it is hard to tell civilians from terrorist" becomes the unshakeable excuse. Weapons and soldiers just performed their duty. Then who should take the blame?

"Accidental bombings" came one after another, each at the cost of many precious lives. What is the most terrible is: when will they be ultimately put to an end?
