Chinese President meets German chancellor

Chinese President Hu Jintao met German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder in Gleneagles, Scotland, Thursday, and the two leaders exchanged views on the further development of bilateral relations and major international and regional issues.

The Chinese president met the German leader on the sidelines of an informal meeting between leaders of the Group of Eight and five developing countries, namely China, India, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico.
