Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said Friday that he hopes his country can expand cooperation with China's southwest Guizhou province in various fields.
Hun Sen paid his visit to Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, after attending the second summit of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program.
In his meeting with provincial leaders, Hun Sen said his current visit aims to strengthen the cooperation between Cambodia and Guizhou, and learn some experience of economic development.
He said he hopes that the two sides can carry out cooperation in some specific projects. He also invited Guizhou to participate in the cooperation and development of GMS.
Qian Yunlu, Secretary of the Guizhou Province Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said, Guizhou witnessed rapid development in the fields of transportation, electric facilities, alcohol-producing and pharmaceutical industries.
The two sides enjoy great potential in their cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and environmental protection, he added.
Hun Sen's delegation also includes Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Nam Hong and other ministers.
