China's telecom operators bring in foreign capital of US$ 25.25 bln

China's four major telecom operators, i.e., China Telecom, China Netcom, China Mobile and China Unicom, all listed in overseas stock exchanges, have brought in foreign investment of US$ 25.25 bln, realizing an actual opening-up of capital market.

By the end of May 2005, China reports 692 mln telephone users. 333 mln of them are fixed line users and 358 mln are mobile phone users.
