Chinese president strongly condemns London terrorist attacks
font size

Chinese President Hu Jintao on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks against London, and offered his deep condolences to the victims and their families.

At the G8 meeting with the five developing countries -- China, India, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico, Hu expressed his great sympathy towards the victims of the London blasts.

Hu reiterated the Chinese government's willingness to further strengthen cooperation with the international community to combat terrorism of any form.

The series of bombings hit London's transportation network at Thursday morning's rush hour, which have so far killed at least 50 people and injured more than 700.
