Director general of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Rodrigo de Rato, apologized for a corruption study on Angola.
According to local media on Friday, Rodrigo de Rato wrote a letter of apology to Angolan Finance Minister Jose Pedro de Morais Junior, who protested against a study "Corruption is the country's main institution - how to create transparency in Angola" by US academician John McMillan, posted on the institution's official website.
In addition, the IMF director instructed the institution's research department, to remove McMillan's working papers in a conference.
