Yu Youjun appointed acting governor of Shanxi

Yu Youjun was appointed deputy governor and acting governor of north China's Shanxi Province at the 18th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress.

The meeting accepted the resignation submitted by Zhang Baoshun who asked to quit from the governor's post. Zhang is the secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Provincial Committee of Shanxi.

Yu Youjun, 52 years old, PH.D., native of east China's Jiangsu Province, joined CPC in 1976. His last post was deputy secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee of central China's Hunan Province.
