    5th Chinese Youth Robot Contest opens

    A robot soccer game is being held between two teams made up of senior high school students at the 5th Chinese Youth Robot Contest, which opens July 10, in Xi'an, capital city of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Thousands of contestants from more than 30 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and HK SAR, Macao SAR will participate in four contests during the two-day event.

    A German national Rudolf shows his "safety green card" to journalist. The Maizidian community in Chaoyang District, Beijing issued "safety green card" to expatriates residing in the community on July 10, 2005. With assistance hotline numbers in Chinese and English printed on it, the card will bring about more convenience and help to expatriates who do not speak Chinese.

    22 miners killed in coal mine blast

    2005 International Education Expo held in Beijing

    Chinese President meets with US Secretary of State
