A 14-member women delegation from China's Tibet Autonomous Region met senior leaders of Nepal on Sunday.
"We hold discussion on bilateral relations and mutual interests during the meeting," Kirti Nidhi Bista, vice-chairman of council of ministers of Nepal, told Xinhua after his meeting with the delegation.
"Nepal and China have traditional friendship, and the friendship will further strengthen by the bilateral visits from different levels including governmental, non-governmental and people's level," Bista said.
Being a neighbor, Nepal can benefit from the development of Tibet, Bista noted, adding, "The delegation introduced the experience of Tibet's vigorous economic growth."
Meanwhile, the delegation also met Durga Shrestha, minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare at her office.
"Common interest in various issues and goodwill of China for the development of Nepal were discussed during the meeting," Shrestha said.
The Chinese delegation showed keen interest of the development of women in Nepal, she noted, adding, "I expressed my hope that the existing cooperation between the two countries will be further continued in the future as well."
Leader of the delegation Ma Zebi, vice chairperson of People's Congress of China's Tibet Autonomous Region, mentioned the goodwill of Chinese for Nepalese.
"The visit of the delegation is aimed at expanding the ties between Nepal and China as well as strengthen ties between Tibet- Nepal women," Ma said.
The delegation arrived at Kathmandu on Saturday for six-day goodwill visit at the invitation of Women, Children and Social Welfare Ministry of Nepal.
