China's first low-concentration gas generating unit debuts
font size

China's first 500kw. low concentration gas generating unit recently passed the review by experts. The new technology developed by Shengdong Group of Shandong Province fills the blank of low-concentration gas generating unit in China.

The successfully developed generating unit uses low-concentration gas. Under normal conditions, only gas with a concentration of above 25 % can be used to generate electricity. Concentration below this lower limit can easily lead to explosion. By installing several explosion-proof devices in the gas transmitting system, Shengdong Group extends the gas utilizing range by 20 percentage points, which means that as long as the gas concentration is above 5%, the electricity generating process is safe.
