Over 200 foreign diplomats and business and press people who are working in China visited an exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of the victory of the world Anti-Fascist War and China's resistance war against Japanese aggression.

The exhibition hall is located beside Lugou Bridge, known as the Marco Polo Bridge, about 20 km away from downtown Beijing. On July 7, 1937, the intruding Japanese forces assaulted Lugou Bridge and Chinese defending soldiers responded by gun fire. This has been known as the world-famous Lugou Bridge Incident, which marked Japan's all-out intrusion into north and central China regions.

Over 600 pictures, and 800 relics have been exhibited, depicting the process of the Chinese army's resistance to the Japanese military during the World War II, as well as China's contribution to the world anti-Fascist war.

Mohamed Hassan Said, ambassador of Somali to China, said it is important to remember how cruel the human being can be, and it still happens today. We should learn how to live together and develop together, he said.

U Thein Lwin, ambassador of Myanmar to China, said Myanmar has also was bullied by fascists from 1943 to 1945, and it can understand Chinese people's feelings.

A Japanese senior couple, who has visited the exhibition hall several times, said some reports in Japan on World War II are not true, thus the young Japanese should come to China to find out the real history so that they can draw lessons from it.

All visitors feel the exhibition is impressive, and it enables the people to cherish peace and to strive for regional stability and development.
