A delegation of the Philippine National Youth Commission arrived in Hanghzou, capital city of east Chinas Zhejiang Province on July 11 at the invitation of the All-China Youth Federation, starting an eight-day visit to China.

The delegation consists of over 100 members from various sectors of the Philippines, including government officials, entrepreneurs and university students.

Araceli Aves, head of the Philippine delegation, said her delegation is interested to see how China balances its economic growth with cultural protection.

In addition to Hangzhou, the scenic city in south China's Zhejiang Province, the delegation will also visit Beijing and Shanghai.

Jiang Guangping, deputy secretary-general of the All-China Youth Federation, said China will send a delegation with the same number of members to the Philippines in November to improve mutual understanding between the youth of China and the Philippines.
