font size

A Chinese senior official said in Beijing on July 12 that China hopes to cooperate with Greece on hosting the Olympic games under the framework of a Sino-Greek joint committee.

Chen Zhili, Chinese State Councilor, told Fanny Palli-Petralia, Greek alternate minister of culture, that China values Athens' experience in hosting the Olympic games and will pursue cooperation with Greece.

Petralia and her party are here as guest of the Chinese Ministry of Culture, and they also met with officials with the Ministry of Education and the General Administration of Sport.

Chinese national capital Beijing will host the Olympic Games 2008.
