The Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee hosted a farewell banquet for visiting New Party delegation in Beijing on the evening of July 12.
Chen Yunlin, director of the Office, said members of the New Party are "our friends and comrades" in opposing "Taiwan independence", seeking peaceful reunification of the country and wishing for compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits to jointly create new glories for the Chinese nation.
Chen said the New Party's "journey of the Chinese nation" has achieved complete success and wished the delegation a smooth trip back to Taiwan.
Yok Mu-ming, New Party Chairman, said the 30 members of the delegation felt they have no differences with the mainland compatriots in customs, language and feelings during the trip.
"We are of one family. We share the feelings on seeking national reunification and preventing separation," said Yok.
The delegation will return to Taiwan Wednesday after completing the eight-day trip, set for July 6-13, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of China's victory in the resistance war against Japanese aggression.
